Attention! Please be informed that due to the FIFA World Cup Confederations Cup to be held in Russia, new strict migration rules will temporarily be in force. Namely, pursuant to Presidential Decree No.202 dated May 5, 2017, from June 1, 2017 to July 12, 2017 all foreign citizens entering Russia (specifically Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Sochi) must complete migration registration formalities within 24 hours of arrival.
Such registration must be performed either by the foreign citizens themselves (e.g. at the hotel) or by their employer.
Please note that this rule does not stipulate any exceptions with regard to highly qualified specialists (HQS), who formerly were allowed to undergo these formalities within 90 days. With this in mind, please make sure that if your foreign partners plan to arrive in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan or Sochi during this period, they should be aware of this requirement and comply with it in order to avoid significant penalties for their employers and themselves.
This regulation will cease after July 12, 2017,
